Take control of engineering modifications with American Unit’s Engineering Change Management™ module for Microsoft Dynamic NAV. Giving you the ability to see how changes in engineering affect everything from bills of materials to production orders – and automatically updating these items once changes are approved – Microsoft Dynamics NAV Engineering Change Management™ offers the control, flexibility and integration you expect from an American Unit implementation.
With Engineering Change Management™ from American Unit You Will:
- Efficient handling of different types of engineering changes
- See how changes effect such things as bills of materials, routings and released production orders before prior to change approval
- Automatically update the engineering changes to the bills of materials, routings and released production orders
- Full integration with NAV manufacturing components
For a complete list of features, download our Engineering Change Management™ Sales Sheet.
With Microsoft Dynamics NAV Engineering Change Management™, users make change requests on a single screen via an easy-to-use GUI that matches the rest of the NAV environment. Users may include explanatory data along with each request, including descriptions, reason codes, approval lists and the department responsible for implementing the change.
Once change requests are entered, the user can view how the change request will affect the bills of materials, routings and production orders that have already been released to the shop floor.
Test, track and implement your changes.
After an engineering change request has been approved, the change can be tested before final implementation. This test will show to what extent the requested change will affect the bill of materials, routings and released production orders. If these effects are as expected, the user can proceed with implementation and the change request will automatically update the bill of materials, routings and production orders.
